Years of scientific research resulted in development of our Micellar Skincare™ range of organic products. We did not take the easy road and release a bunch of “me-too” skincare products; we took the difficult route and created products carefully aligned with our values. Three principles have guided our product development:

  • Ingredients must be organic, natural, sustainable and biodegradable
  • Ingredients must be safe on the skin, proven and stable in formulation
  • Products must use leading edge, scientific formulations that enhance stability and topical effectiveness

Nano-technology

Our skincare products use Nano-encapsulation technology to provide the most advanced and effective skincare formulations currently available. Nano-encapsulation offers:

  • enhanced active ingredient protection for sensitive biological actives due to encapsulation
  • superior skin penetration compared with traditional cosmetic formulations due to the <100nm particle size
  • superior product formulation stability as they are thermodynamically stable

Our proprietary Green Micelle™ formulation system encapsulates biological actives in thermodynamically stable, nano-sized, organic micelles. On topical application, these tiny micelles facilitate deep skin penetration of actives for more effective and stable skin treatments than offered by traditional formulations.

Anti-oxidant Therapy

The primary cause of skin ageing is the oxidative degradation of skin proteins (collagen and elastin) caused by the sun’s UV radiation. The best way to prevent skin ageing and reverse ageing signs is by the use of natural skin anti-oxidants.

The biggest problem with topical anti-oxidant treatment is that anti-oxidants are unstable and are readily oxidised to become ineffective. Oxygen from air, sunlight, water impurities and temperature rapidly degrade anti-oxidants if in unsuitable cosmetic containers or if poorly formulated in non-protective formulations.

Our skincare products contain the broadest range of plant-sourced anti-oxidants available. These products offer more anti-oxidant effective treatment compared with traditional cosmetic formulated products because:

  1. Our skincare products use nano-encapsulation to protect sensitive biological actives in formulation as well as to provide superior skin penetration.
  2. Our products are packaged in vacuum sealed containers to protect sensitive anti-oxidants from environmental degradation during storage.

Cold Processed

We aim for excellence in creating effective and stable skincare products. That is why we developed our proprietary Cold Processing formulation technology. 

Traditional skincare formulations use heat to emulsify ingredients. Many biological actives (sensitive botanicals and anti-oxidant vitamins) are heat sensitive and quickly degrade when heated, making them less active. Heat-less preparation also means reduced carbon footprint for our products which are more environmentally friendly. 

Our Green Micelle™ nano-technology is a proprietary Cold Process preparation methodology that leaves biological actives fresh and potent with no toxic degradation by-products.

Coconut Derived

Coconut palm derived skincare ingredients are renowned as being the best, the gentlest and most effective of all skincare ingredients. From moisturisers to cleansers, premium skincare products aimed at sensitive skin types use coconut based ingredients.

At Micellar Skincare™ we chose to formulate our skincare products exclusively with coconut based ingredients because these ingredients are:

  • Gentle and soothing on the skin and most effective as topical treatments
  • Environmentally friendly, biodegradable, and sustainable 
  • Rich in natural skin-friendly oils and anti-oxidants
  • Naturally moisturising and anti-inflammatory for sensitive skins

Cruelty Free

We are passionate about the environment and the animals we share our environment with. That is why we have chosen to use only ingredients that come from plant-based sources with strictly no animal-derived ingredients allowed in our skincare products.

Further, we do not use ingredients that have been tested on animals.

All our skincare products are exclusively vegan friendly coming from vegan derived plant-based sources.
