Retinol is a well known, proven anti-aging and anti-acne skincare ingredient. To date, the use and effectiveness of topical retinol has been restricted by formulation stability and skin irritability problems. Retinyl palmitate, in microemulsion formulation, overcomes these stability and irritation problems to provide effective retinoid antiaging and acne treatments.
Vitamin C is an important multi-functional skincare ingredient that plays a vital role is a number of antiaging and skin health processes. Because it is such an important ingredient with many scientifically proven skincare benefits, Vitamin C should be a necessary component of all antiaging and UV protecting skincare regimes.
Although many cosmeceutical formulations contain Vitamin C and/or Vitamin E, very few of them are actually effective in topical application4. Either the concentration is too low, the formulation stability is compromised or the vitamins fail to penetrate the skin. However, with the development of new nano-encapsulation formulations, topical combinations of Vitamin C and Vitamin E provide synergistically enhanced skincare benefits.
Our proprietary Green Micelle™ formulation system uses nano-size micelles to entrap and stabilise skincare actives. Formulations are stable, deep skin penetrating and effective.
Microemulsions can combine oil and water soluble skincare ingredients (Eg. Vitamins C and E) in a single formulation. They provide stable, deep skin penetrating and effective skincare formulations.
